About the Client

Queen’s College of Business, Technology & Public Safety is a Canadian institution offering specialized programs in professional training and skill development. The college partnered with us to improve online discoverability and organic visibility for its French Language, Makeup Artistry, and Yoga courses across Canada.

Client Requirements

The client required a complete SEO overhaul to strengthen long-term organic growth. Their goals included improving keyword rankings for local search terms, fixing technical performance issues, and increasing overall website visibility. They also aimed to enhance user experience, indexability, and lead-generation potential through structured on-page and off-page SEO efforts.

Key objectives included:

  • Ranking targeted local keywords within the top 30 on Google

  • Resolving crawlability, indexing, and performance issues

  • Strengthening on-page content and building authoritative backlinks

Our Process

We executed a comprehensive 360° SEO strategy covering technical SEO, on-page optimization, and off-page link building. On the technical side, we resolved crawl errors, fixed broken links, improved site speed, and optimized mobile performance to meet Core Web Vitals standards. High-priority pages were fully indexed to ensure maximum search visibility.

On-page SEO efforts focused on optimizing existing pages with local-intent keywords, structured metadata, and improved content depth. We also created new high-value pages such as course overviews, FAQs, and location-based landing pages, supported by stronger internal linking for better authority flow. Off-page SEO was handled through targeted outreach campaigns within education, wellness, and beauty niches, securing high-quality backlinks from Canadian directories, blogs, and partner institutions.

Challenges and Solutions

The website initially suffered from a non-SEO-friendly structure, duplicate content, and weak backlink authority. We restructured the site architecture, optimized URLs, and implemented breadcrumb navigation to improve crawlability. Thin and duplicate content was consolidated and enriched with in-depth 800–1,200 word resources supported by schema markup. To compete in highly competitive local searches, we prioritized long-tail, location-specific keywords and built topical authority through content clusters. All technical updates were rolled out in stages with pre-launch testing to ensure zero downtime.

Impact

The SEO implementation delivered strong improvements across rankings, website health, and organic traffic. All previously unranked keywords reached Top 10 Google positions, including high-intent searches such as Makeup classes Greater Toronto Area (#4), Yoga course Greater Toronto Area (#1), and French classes in mississauga (#3). Website health improved significantly, with the score increasing from 60 to 73 (+22%) and page indexation rising from below 50% to nearly 100%. Mobile page speed and overall performance were fully optimized. Organic traffic grew from approximately 4,000 to 4,200+ monthly visitors, accompanied by a noticeable uplift in impressions and click-through rates, strengthening lead potential.

Key highlights:

  • Top 10 rankings for all targeted local keywords

  • Healthier, faster, fully indexed website

  • Improved domain authority through quality backlinks

  • Strong foundation for long-term organic growth

Conclusion

Through technical precision, strategic content optimization, and targeted link building, we transformed Queen’s College’s website from low visibility to a strong local search presence. With high-intent keywords now ranking on Google’s first page and a fully optimized website in place, the college is well-positioned to convert organic traffic into enrollments — without relying on paid advertising — and scale sustainably in 2026 and beyond.
